The Academy of Language Studies (ALS) (formerly known as Language Centre) started its operation at Jalan Hang Tuah on 15th of August 1985. Puan Sumarni Maulan is currently serving as the 12th ALS' Head of Servicing Codes. The ALS offers language courses including English, Malay, Arabic, Mandarin, and Japanese to students from various fields. The ALS has a total of 80 lecturers across three campuses; Kampus Alor Gajah, Kampus Bandaraya Melaka and Kampus Jasin.

Eid Celebration 2017
As per tradition every year to welcome Eid Mubarak, the faculty celebrates this auspicious festival with organising Eid Fest for all APB lecturers from all branches in Melaka. This year, the fest was held yesterday, July 6th, 2017, hosted by The Mudzaffar Hotel, Melaka. It was a special day too for our dearest PM. Dr. Geraldine John Philip De Mello, as we arranged a little surprise farewell party for her. It was not so much a farewell party, as it was a personal milestones party, celebrating her dedication and commitment as a lecturer. We are also thankful to all of our VIP guests to whom we have the honor of their attendance. A very special acknowledgement to the Rector of UiTM Melaka branch, PM. Sabariah Hj. Mahat, who has always been supportive of all events and activities held by our faculty.
